Aero Chicago Parkour March 27th UIC Beginners Jam Video!

This past Saturday was the first big Chicago jam for Aero Chicago Parkour, which is normally called a "Beginners Jam" to bring out folks of all types and ages to come out and learn the basics of Parkour/Freerunning. This jam was important because not only was this the first major Chicago jam without founder Ryan "Cloud" Cousins at the helm, but also the last jam of fellow traceur, Jacob "Rayxna" Carlson, whom will be attending a religious mission for 2 years in Fresno. Emmanuel and the rest of Aero Chicago Parkour dedicate the video to Jacob Carlson for his commitment and service to the community, and he will be dearly missed. We hope to welcome him home soon enough, in 2 years. This jam could have not been possible without him, or the help of fellow LBP member Alex "Fresh" Meglei, who came out to help Jacob lead the jam along with his fellow traceurs. A big thanks to both Jacob and Alex for being good leaders for the community and helping out with this jam that included nearly 100 traceurs attending.

The music heard in the video is predominately from the Samurai Champloo soundtrack, with songs by Jun Seba, aka Nujabes, whom is a indie hip-hop DJ from Japan that recently passed away last month. If you like the music heard in this video, please take some time out to support this wonderful artist and continue to spread his music. You can find out more info about Nujabes and his music here:

Last LBP Stunt Practice With Brendon Huor!

Brendon Huor came out for his last LBP stunt practice, before he ships out to Los Angeles in April. Of course, we'll probably see him again sometime sooner than later, but nonetheless, the entire team had a blast working with and training with him this past month. Thank you for everything Brendon! Best of luck to you in LA! You can view the last practice video here, which features Jessie Bayani and Emmanuel Manzanares, and was shot by Anthony J. Reddix:

Lazy Stunt Practice with Brendon Huor..

We had another stunt practice with Brendon Huor, and though we originally had a more substantial video planned, plans fell through and we ended up having to save it for next week. Though we were eager to try something new, it was soon clear everyone was too tired and lazy to really do anything substantial, so we just opted to do whatever and have some fun. You can view the video here:

Final LBP Collaboration with Andy Long of the Mag-Fighters!

Andreas "Andy Long" Nguyen left Chicago on March 2nd, and we finally have the last collaborative piece that LBP did with him ready to show. You can view it here:

We all had an amazing time with Andy in Chicago and the feeling was bittersweet seeing him leaving. After getting to work and know more about this amazing individual, we can only hope to meet again and collaborate on even larger projects one day. We at LBP wish him the best on the rest of his stateside trip, going back home to Germany. We miss you so much Andy! But we will all see you again, soon enough. Until next time, Mr. Long!

New Short Fight Between Andy Long and Alex Hashioka, Plus Stunt Training With Brendon Huor!

This was the last weekend that Andy was staying with us, so we shot quite a few things, and were also able to train with Brendon Huor in Naperville. First things first, we shot a short fight between Alex Hashioka and Andy, which you can see here:

We shot one last big fight between Andy, Alex Hashioka, Shawn Bernal, and Keith Min, which will be posted sometime later this week.

You can view Alex's stunt reel here:

You can view Andy's demo reel here:

This past Sunday, Andy and Emmanuel met up with Brendon Huor in Naperville, IL to do some stunt/fight choreography training. Brendon is one of the chief instructors at Sharkey's Karate Studio in Naperville, IL, a member of the Sideswipe Demo Team led by Matt Mullins, and also a 3 time world champion on the NASKA Circuit. He asked Andy and Emmanuel to train with him and everyone had a blast training together, resulting in more silly gags than actual stunts, which was fine by them. You can witness the fun here:
